Julie Green

After completing the Resource teacher of literacy training in 2014, Julie worked in the Eastern suburbs of Christchurch and now the rural Hurunui area of North Canterbury.

She works within schools providing resources and professional development for teachers, who refer struggling readers to the RTLit service. Julie has worked in the literacy field for a large part of her teaching career and is a Structured literacy proponent after seeing the alternatives fail too often.

Julie is a trained BSLA facilitator and is currently completing her study with IMSLE. She enjoys researching evidence- based approaches and helping teachers and children to use effective resources which align with the Science of Reading.
