UFLI Foundations
The Australian Edition of the UFLI Foundations manual will be available in late January 2025 and can be pre-ordered now.
UFLI Foundations – Australian Edition is an explicit and systematic phonics program that introduces students to the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. Foundations is designed to be used for core instruction in the primary grades or for intervention with struggling students in any grade.
The Australian Edition includes:
Two new lessons for Australian/New Zealand classrooms, that include the schwa
Revised versions of all lessons and word lists based on Standard Australian English (SAE)
An updated Vowel Valley and accompanying resources to suit SAE
Alignment of irregular words with SAE and additions to the articulation guide
Updated progress monitoring assessments
